Grapple-a-Thon 10
Beyond the Mat Fundraiser
Ten years. Ten Grapple-a-Thons. We’re just getting started.
GAT 10 is our most personal event yet — a celebration of this community, this art, and the simple but
profound truth that Jiu Jitsu makes life better. In todays world, where stress, isolation, and uncertainty
are real and constant, having a community that sweats together, supports each other, and shows up
— that’s not a luxury. That’s medicine.
This year, we’re rallying around one of our most important missions: making sure that no member of
the Five Rings tribe has to leave the mat because life got hard. Every dollar raised through GAT 10
goes directly into our Emergency Fund — a financial lifeline for members and families facing
hardship.
Real people.
Real situations.
Real support.
Five Rings Jiu Jitsu
Sweat. Give. Celebrate. Together.
Grapple-a-Thon 10
Ten years. Ten Grapple-a-Thons. We’re just getting started.
Last year’s Grapple-a-Thon made a real and immediate difference in the lives of Five Rings members.
One athlete was fully supported for 10 months. One family was covered for 4 months. Both were able to stay on
the mat — to keep training, keep showing up, and stay connected to this community — at the exact moment life
got hardest.
That’s the point. When stress peaks, when anxiety creeps in, when financial pressure mounts — that’s precisely
when people need a constructive outlet the most. That’s when the mat matters most. That’s when community
matters most.
